eBay als third party voor betalingen

Ik ga waarscheinlijk een auto kopen binnenkort.

De eigenaar is lid van facebook, en is verhuist naar Polen maar de auto staat bij een shipping bedrijf in België.

Hij vind de beste manier voor ons allebij om de betaling via eBay te doen, omdat we zo allebij beveiligd zijn.

Het zou zo in zijn werk gaan:

1: Ik betaal het te betalen bedrag aan ebay

2: ebay contacteerd de eigenaar om te zeggen dat zij in het bezit zijn van het geld

3: hij verstuurd auto naar mij, en ik mag 15 dagen de wagen testen

4: auto is in orde en ik geef toestemming om geld aan de eigenaar te geven, zo niet word ik terugbetaald.

Ik zou hier graag wat meer info over hebben,

Is dit veilig? en ben ik wel degelijk beschermd?

Dit is een deel van zijn mail:

"there is no need to make an eBay account because we can close the deal using mine. I am confirming that the car is in excellent condition and everything runs as it should. Before accepting the car you will be able to inspect it and its documents any way you want, have a mechanic look at it etc... It's all up to you. Only after you are satisfied you can accept the car and give eBay your OK to release the payment to me. If you're not satisfied (must specify exactly what's not right) you will have no obligation and you will get your money back.

To remove any concern, you will have 15 days to inspect the car before committing to buy, eBay will release the funds to me only after the inspection period is over and after the confirmation that you are happy with the car.

You have to make the payment to eBay, not to me. Payment will done bank-to-bank, wire transfer to an eBay holding account. The payment will be handling by eBay in their bank account and you will benefit of 15 inspection time period and the option to accept or reject the car on my expense."
