Verdwijnen van oude mijn eBay en het oude zoeksysteem

Voor degenen die ervoor kozen om de oude mijn eBay en het oude zoeksysteem te blijven gebruiken: op eBay UK en eBay.com is aangekondigd dat de oude mijn eBay definitief zal verdwijnen op 20 januari 2009, en de oude zoekfunctie begin maart 2009. Dus veel kans mag men zich op eBay.be rond die tijd ook verwachten aan deze wijzigingen.

My eBay update
On 20th January 2009, we’ll retire the current My eBay design and switch to the new one.
If you'd previously opted out of the My eBay test, please opt in and try the new version.

Retirement of old search system
Earlier this year (2008) we introduced a new search system. A small percentage of users chose to stick with the old system using an opt-out link. At the start of March, we're retiring the old search completely, so any users who opted out of the new search will be automatically redirected to the new search system.

Nieuw beoordelingssysteem in de maak

Men is op eBay aan het werken aan een nieuw beoordelingssysteem, is blijkbaar nog in een vroeg stadium.
Enkele snippets van de pink (Griff) hierover op het forum op eBay.com:

DSRs are causing too many otherwise good sellers (and sometimes excellent sellers) more grief, angst and anxiety than any one of us here imagined or ever intended. In fact, anxiety was never the goal or intention. It's no secret we are revisiting the entire concept. I have stated before (on the show I think) so I don't risk pulling open the kimono too wide, that a new reputation feature is in the works. What I have seen so far is really amazing.

The reputation system design that I have seen is extremely encouraging. But, I cannot pre-announce something that is still in the early stages of design and testing.

Nothing is off the table, and I have in fact, alluded several times on the air an in this thread that a very different reputation system is under consideration as we speak. (Don't ask me to elaborate at this point. I can't and I won't)
1. Q: Will DSR be scrapped for something that actually works or for nothing at all?
A: Possible but too early to say.
2. Q:Will Best Match be scrapped since it's not logical to manipulate the placement of timed auctions?
A: No. Improved and refined, but not "scrapped."
