Onlangs vond ik op internet een advertentie voor een auto. Ik stuurde een e-mail naar de eigenaar, en enkele dagen na ik de auto gezien had, was de advertentie verdwenen. Plots kreeg ik een mail van de verkoper die zei dat de auto ingeschreven is in Frankrijk, maar dat hij én de wagen nu in Londen zijn.

Ik stuurde een mail terug met de vraag waarom hij zo'n wagen tegen zo een belachelijk lage prijs verkocht en vroeg hoe hij alle zaken wou afhandelen.

Hij heeft me niets verteld over het papierwerk van de wagen en ook niet van de invoerkosten.
Wel zei hij dat de auto kosteloos naar hier wordt verscheept, dat ik 7 dagen de tijd heb om hem te inspecteren + beslissen of ik hem wel/niet neem en vervolgens kosteloos terug wordt verscheept.
Nogal een groot risico voor de verkoper...

Please excuse my late answer, but I was in Spain (Malaga), with my work and I had limited acces to an internet connexion, but now I am back home. I saw your email and I would like to tell you that for the moment my car is still available at the final price of 3.800 Eur.
So concerning our transaction, I would like to explain you all the details.
As I told you I work as a Sergent so I do not have free time at all. I must sell my car fast and at a low price because unfortunately I am in a middle of an divorce and I want to have my two childrens custody.
We will use Suare Trade from eBay because in this way both of us will be protected! Is a safe and transparent transaction! The car is in perfect shape and is like new.
The car is already at the shipping company and is ready to be shipped at the buyer address. For the transaction, eBay will enter in contact with you and they will keep the money until you will receive and inspect the car. If everything will be ok eBay will release the money to me. For the payment you must send to the eBay agent 3.800 eur and the eBay agent will hold your money until you will receive and inspect the car. If you don`t like the car you will receive your money back from eBay.
After I will have the payment confirmation from eBay I will start the delivery process and you will receive the car at your address in 5 or 6 days. I am a very serious seller and I hope you are with good faith.
If you are interested to buy my car then please send me your coordinates (full name and address), then I will send your coordinates to eBay and they will give you the invoice, the financial plan and they will give you all the details about this transaction. I am glad that you are a serious buyer and I am sure that if you will buy my Golf you will find the car great. eBay will contact you with more details and I am sure that you will be more confortable after you will enter in contact with them.

Dit zaakje druipt volgens mij van de oplichterij, maar ik had toch graag even een objectieve mening vana andere mensen.

eBay speelt geen tussenpersoon voor betalingen, dus 't is een poging tot oplichting gelijk een andere, zo simpel is dat.

1) Auto ingeschreven in Frankrijk... persoon kon niet reageren omdat hij in Spanje was maar kan dit wel vanuit de UK waar hij blijkt te wonen?
Internationaal is hij alleszins wel é?

2) Je schrijft ook dat je de wagen gezien hebt... ik mag hopen dat dit niet enkel op foto was??? Maar ik vrees ervoor... of kwam hij ook toevallig nog eens langs in België om zijn auto te showen?

Zoals sinaaiman schrijft: ebay is een platform waar verkopers hun waren kunnen aanbieden en kopers kunnen kopen, verder moeit men zich niet met de transacties.
Als je aldus een mailke zou krijgen van een zogenaamd tussenpersoon van ebay of een telefoonnummer van een ebayer die je verder helpt, weet dan dat dit fake-adressen en fake-telefoonnummers zijn.

Indien je toch wil aankopen, kan ik je enkel adviseren dat je de verkoper meldt dat je zal betalen na ontvangst van de wagen en na controle van de boorddocumenten of het niet om een gestolen voertuig gaat.

Is dit voldoende objectief? 😉

Om toch iets subjectiever te zijn: ik heb sterke vermoeden dat je niet veel meer zal horen van deze "verkoper" als je vraagt om te betalen na levering en check-up...

Ik heb ook opgemerkt dat de auto terug op internet te koop staat, dus voor degenen die ook een auto zoeken, NIET ingaan op deze advertentie
